Learn more about the latest changes concerning the vNAAATS plugin and oceanic control!

A new version of the vNAAATS plugin (v1.3b) has now been released! You can download the latest sector package with the update here: http://files.aero-nav.com/EXCXO. This new version of the plugin features many new changes and bugfixes, the details of which can be found here https://github.com/vNAAATS/vatsim-NAAATS/releases/tag/v1.3b

One of the brand new features that v1.3b features, is the Flight Data Display. As previewed before, the Flight Data Display is currently a read-only display that features active and useful real-time data regarding aircraft transiting through Gander and Shanwick Oceanic airspace (when oceanic ATC is online), including their cleared Flight Level, Mach Number, all points and ETAs and more! This data can be useful to both oceanic controllers, and adjacent domestic controllers too! The FDD can be accessed via https://vnaaats.net/fdd.

Additionally, we noticed that a lot of our controllers aren't too familiar with vNAAATS and how to handle oceanic clearances properly using vNAAATS. Attached below is a small guide that we made that shows and explains, how you should handle oceanic clearances using vNAAATS. The clearance details are automatically stored on the vNAAATS database and will also display on the FDD!

Lastly, we would like to announce that vNAAATS now has a website and discord server! Find out more: https://vnaaats.net/ We would like to thank everyone who helped with the project and for everyone's support.
